Members,

With the summer heat at full blast working out can be HOT! Make sure you are taking some necessary precautions to stay hydrated and cool during your summer work-outs.  Here are some tips to help you out”

•    Drinking water – and lots of it! Always keep a glass on hand and sip slowly throughout the day so your body is fully hydrated.
•    Wear a hat – Keep your head covered from the burning sun
•    Wear cool clothing – Sporting wear companies have developed fantastic fabrics to help pull the sweat off your body and allow your skin to breath.
•    Be time wise! It is usually colder first thing in the morning or in the evening when the sun sets. These may be better times for outdoor exercise
•    Go for a swim – Many communities have outdoor public pools that are a great way to cool down and get active. Check your communities website for more information.

Members, do you have any good tips for exercising in the hot summer weather?
