Hi Beowolf,

You are so right, I always knew there was something about the site that was nice. That’s it, the lack of ads and spam, how refreshing. Many sites are filled with ads and bombarded with spam its hard to focus on the material at hand. I do appreciate that very much!

As someone who did work in research for a while, I appreciate things that are research based. So another great point!

I don’t have one either...one day though....one day......

I find this site is pretty awesome compared to other sites I have found too.  There is no annoying ads or spammers.  Plus I read some of the company’s papers and it is research based.  That sounds good to me!

Thank you for this TKDmom, unfortunately I do not have an iphone, or ipod. So I can't add applications. Maybe in the future! Thankfully I have access to this site and it has been a great help to me thus far. Although its not portable, I know it's always there for me too. How have you been doing with your weight loss goals?

Hi everyone.  Thought I'd share this really neat, free app I found for my iPod touch.  It's called "Lose It".  When you log in, you're asked for your date of birth, current weight, gender and goal weight.  The system then calculates your daily caloric "budget".  You can increase or decrease this amount by changing the number of pounds you want to lose per week.  It also tells you when you'll reach your goal weight if you lose X pounds per week.  You can increase your daily caloric budget by entering the exercise you do each day.  You keep track of the calories you eat each day by entering everything you eat/drink at every meal and for snacks.  It has a whole slew of pre-loaded foods with all of the nutritional information already available, or you can enter custom foods or recipes.  The app keeps track of it all and lets you know how many calories you have left at any given point.  You can also find friends who are using the app so that you can help each other along and motivate each other.  You can set the system to send you weekly e-mail progress reports or reminders if you don't enter any data for a specified period.  I think it's a pretty awesome app, considering it's free!
